I wrote, directed and edited this film.
This project was our first attempt at creating international content, produced entirely in India.
Needless to say, I learned a lot throughout the entire process.
We spent a lot of time on research: trying to understand what's the best way to explain this product to techies, designers, folks in the Silicon Valley. It was important that the script works for a global audience.
My personal research for writing the script typically consisted of calling up techie friends in the middle of the day and pitching the product to them. Every phone call would give me insights into what would make a good proposition for OSlash.
The post production process for this video was harder than we could ever imagine: 3D Animations, VFX, Chroma Keying, 2D Animations - all in one video. All of this was made possible by my friend and in-house genius Tanmay Pathak.
Behind the scenes:
OSlash is an Accel funded startup, building a workplace productivity tool. The OSlash team reached out to our team at Bombay Locale with an interesting problem statement: Creating an explainer-cum-launch video for a global audience.
